Abstract

In the article the state of conflictogenic potential and its features of implementation in a globalizing world are analyzed. On the basis of analysis of the results of research of the Heidelberg Institute for International Conflict Research (HIIK) quantitative and qualitative peculiarities of global conflicts are determined. On the basis of analysis of the results of research of the Heidelberg Institute for International Conflict Research (HIIK) quantitative and qualitative peculiarities of the escalation of tension in the geo-economic and geo-political dimensions are determined. The regional structure emerging conflicts, the main causes of both domestic and international conflicts, stages of international conflict’s development are considered. It was established that today there is an increase in the number of both international and local conflicts, increasing the share of conflicts, which are at the stage of violent crisis; the main causes of conflicts in the world are ideological differences, the use of national power, resources
