Abstract
Corporate culture is a term that recurs frequently in the literature and rhetoric dealing with management. The wide usage of the term assumes that it is well defined and understood by all, yet this is not the case. This literature review was conducted in an effort to develop a clear and concise definition of the concept of “culture” in various science literatures. Definite traits of modern reality cause the need of new approaches to human resource management in the hotel and restaurant business. Many researchers and practitioners admit that management via corporate culture is the most important approach nowadays. The distinction between corporate culture and other instruments of human resource management in hospitality industry are is considered. Corporate culture is a powerful tool for achieving long-term strategic objectives and one of the competitive advantages of the business hotel and restaurant business
