Abstract

The aim of the article is to study the mechanisms of the emergency operation in Ukraine funding by UN World Food Program. Methods: during the study general scientific and specific methods of obtaining knowledge have been applied: methods of analysis, synthesis, induction, deduction (for the study of the characteristics of UN World Food Program operations funding in Ukraine), methods of economic and statistical and comparative analysis (to analyze the current state of the UN World Food Program funding in Ukraine), graphical method (for visual representation of the dynamics of the overall operations budget), abstract and logical method (to draw conclusions). According to the results of the study the mechanisms of funding of UN World Food Program operations in Ukraine have been defined, including the formation of financial resources through contributions from donors and their focus on the implementation of emergency and special operations. The dynamics of the budget of UN World Food Program operations in Ukraine has been analyzed. The analysis has shown steady growth of the total amount of emergency operations financing. The analysis of the structure of the budget stipulates that food costs represent the largest share (60%) of the total UN World Food Program emergency operations. The operational needs of the general budget have been defined, inсluding the need to perform emergency operation (62%), special operations (32%). The necessity of the voluntary contributions increasing to continue funding for UN World Food Program relief of civilians affected by the conflict in Ukraine has been justified
