Abstract

The concept of the state target program for the development of tourism and resorts in the period up to 2022 is reviewed. The directions of concept improvement are identified. The analysis of prognostic indicators of tourism industry in Ukraine is conducted. The analysis based on researching the number of international tourist arrivals to the country, the number of employed people in the tourism industry, the tourism industry contribution to GDP. The directions of improvement and changes of the existing program of development of tourism and resorts are offered. Its adaptation to modern needs and conditions of the functioning of the tourism industry is proposed. The practical significance of the results consist of the possibility their using in the development of measures to improve the existing concept of the state target program of tourism and resorts development, providing a scientific basis for implementing ways to improve the separate directions of concept realization
