Abstract

The article summarizes the existing definitions of the terms “spatial polarization”, “spatial polarization of the world tourism market”. Depending on the territorial system, which is regarded as the object of study, levels of analysis of the tourist area are proposed. They are the totality of interacting cross-country tourist regions; the totality of interacting cross-country tourist sub-regions; the totality of interacting countries; space of a separate country. Two groups of factors influencing the spatial polarization of the world tourism market such as the factors that ensure the absolute benefits and factors that provide comparative advantages is proposed to allocate. Was determined that the country’s or region’s international competitiveness on the world tourism market constitute factors of investment and innovative character
