Abstract

The article reveals the essence of the concept of the students’ independent-cognitive activity and clarify the content of some key categories, which constitute its structure, in particular, self-study, educational and cognitive activity, cognitive independence, self-activity. Based on a thorough analysis the obtained results were synthesized in our own definition of the independent-cognitive activity phenomenon
