Abstract
The article dwells upon the analysis of scientists' approach to the determination of competence approach as it is as well as concepts of competence, competency and didactic competence. The significance of competence approach implementation into the theory and practice of modern educational process is pointed out, the requirement of didactic competence formation with higher pedagogical educational establishment students has been emphasized in the article.
