Abstract

A scheme of automated control in the process of sorting apples is considered, which includes a system for recognizing the characteristics of apples, namely size (d), weight (m), color (g), an automated control system (ACS) for the process of sorting apples, and an actuator. It is noted that the apple varieties recognition system based on a series of photographic images, as well as information about the size, weight and color of apples in the stream on the conveyor line, determines the location and tracks the movement of apples of a certain type. Based on the information received, the ACS generates the control action of the actuator, which separates the apples of the desired type from the general stream. Apples that remain are sent to the industrial redistribution for the production of juice or apple raw materials in the form of jam or jam. It is proved that the recognition efficiency of apple varieties in a stream depends on the quality of its photographic images, and image distortion and the presence of noise will reduce the accuracy of determining the contours and, as a result, the characteristics of individual objects. The occurrence of interference can be caused by a change in the characteristics of apples and air, as well as technological factors. Short-term obstacles associated with the duration of the comparison of frame fixation with a video camera should be eliminated by averaging several consecutive frames. It is emphasized that for apples located in the flow on the conveyor line, they cause.
