Abstract

The article reveals the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study of ethno-tourism in Ukraine. It is shown that Ukraine has significant potential for the development of ethnic tourism. The current state and prospects of ethno-tourism in Ukraine are clarified. The content of the concepts of “ethno-tourism”, “resources of ethno-tourism”, “classification of ethno-tourism” as components of a national culture is investigated. It is determined that in the scientific literature several concepts that are close in meaning have a real right to exist: ethnographic tourism, ethnocultural tourism, and ethnic tourism. The features of the organization of ethno-tourism are disclosed, this is a complex phenomenon in which the needs and real activities of people are intertwined, natural, technical and economic processes. Studied the foreign and Ukrainian experience in the development of ethno-tourism. The essence and components of ethno-tourism, foreign experience in organizing ethno-tourism activities, potential opportunities for the establishment and development of ethnic tourism in Ukraine are clarified. It has been established that ethno-tourism in Ukraine is represented by a wide range of cultural and educational tours organized for visiting national and international fairs, exhibitions, sports competitions.
