Abstract

The article highlights the structure of the components of design competence of future engineers in the process of general engineering preparation. The motivational-incentive component is characterized (motivational-target and emotional-volitional blocks); the cognitive-content component provides (engineering-graphic and information-analytical blocks); operational and operational component includes (design and project blocks); professional-communicative component characterize (personal and communicative block); resultant-reflective component (reflection and self-development). The results obtained indicate that the most "problem area" is observed in the process of formation of the cognitive-content component (information-analytical block) and operational-effective component (project block).
