Abstract
In the article, using the method of dichotomous analysis, the essence of management of changes as an independent type of management of the enterprise is determined. Two distinct sections of this problem are distinguished in contemporary scientific discourse: conceptual and target. The place of management of changes in the activity of enterprises is investigated. Its essence is disclosed in the following aspects: as a component of strategic management of the enterprise; how to manage the activities of the enterprise; as a set of operational functions; as a component of social management.
