Abstract

The objective of this study is to clarify the conceptual apparatus of social globalization and the factors determining its impact on developing countries. The article investigates the social impact of globalization on the economy, politics and social functions of developing countries, those that are most vulnerable to global challenges of the modern system of world order. Methods. The solution of these problems are carried out by applying such scientific and special research methods as analysis and synthesis, generalization and systematization, the dialectical approach. Results. The basic characteristics of social globalization, the globalization as a component of these processes are clarified. The problems of developing countries, in the context of globalization are defined. The influence of the social challenges of globalization on society and the development of developing countries is studied. The so-called paradox of social globalization which consists in the presence of mutual exclusion in some aspects of social and economic globalization is presented.
