Abstract

In the course of the research, factors that influence the complexity of defining the concept of «recreational resources» are identified: firstly, recreational resources are a historical category, as depending on the changes in certain historical conditions there is the emergence of new types of recreational activities, which in turn leads to changes in visions of the required amount of resources used, and about their qualitative composition and genesis; and secondly, the definition of the concept of «recreational resources» depends on the level of organization of recreational activities, and from that whether it is carried out within a single recreational enterprise, recreational area or recreational industry as a whole. The study systematizes theoretical and methodological approaches to the definition of the nature of the concept of «recreational resources» and reveals its conceptual aspects. On the basis of the analysis of links between the definitions of «recreation», «resources» and «recreational resources» and generalization of existing scientific development results as for their content, the nature of the definition of «recreational resources» is specified.
