Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify the characteristics of the social development of Euro-Mediterranean partnership countries in terms of globalization, which has a dual effect on the territory, characterized by the hight asymmetry level of development and is a place of accumulation of many world communities` geopolitical problems. Methods. The study is based on the dialectical method of knowledge and a systematic approach. Main scientific results of the dissertation have been gained using complex scientific and special methods of investigation, namely the deduction and induction of systemic analysis and synthesis, systematization and synthesis, as well as special methods of analysis: abstract, logical and statistical analysis (to support the EuroMediterranean countries’ partnerships development trends). Results. It was found out that the level of socio-economic potential of the EuroMediterranean Partnership countries is characterized by moderate growth and high levels of disparity. The evolution of scientific views on the social dimension of development was estimated. The basic tendencies of development of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership countries in case of main macroeconomic indicators, as well as social development indicators were determined. Complex framework of reforms to improve the social and economic development of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership countries was presented.
