Abstract
Modern scientific views on the theoretical substantiation of the notion of language landscape, its scope, and functional nature are analyzed and generalized. The on-masiological peculiarities of commercial proper names and their social functions are determined. On the basis of the research of commercial proper names in the language space of the city of Kryvyi Rih, features of the functioning and coexistence of languages in its visual space are specified. On the example of the investigated material, manifestations of interference as a phenomenon typical of a bilingual environment are described. The specificity of the representation in the commercial names of the ethnic and cultural identity of the language community of the city is determined
