Abstract

The article deals with theoretical study of the forecasting process of regional economic security. The basic stages of forecasting of economic safety of the regions have been determined a diagram of the forecasting process of regional economic security is the result of the study with an indication of the implementation tools for the forecasting stages. Purpose of the study is to develop a forecasting technology for regional economic security. Methods of theoretical generalization have been used for the study and systematization of forecasting scheme elements of regional economic security. To achieve this goal, the following research methods were used: systematic approach, structural-logical analysis, method of analysis and synthesis, techniques of logical generalization. As a result of the theoretical research on the forecasting technology in general and its adaptation to the specifics of economic security at the regional level, a scheme of the forecasting process of regional economic security was constructed. The proposed forecasting technology determines the stages of forecasting, the realization of which allows achieving the forecasting objective of regional economic security, namely, the provision of scientifically grounded alternatives for the economic security of regions based on information about change trends in the integral indicator of regional economic security in time and space. The specifics of the category "economic security" justifies the expediency of using of multidimensional statistics for research and forecasting modelling of regional economic security. The results of this theoretical study led to the introduction of the definition "authentication of the region" in the aspect of economic security; the author's definition of this category has been presented. In further research it is expedient to analyze the results of the implementation of the proposed forecasting technology in order to identify deficiencies, gaps and adjustments
