Abstract
Modern management theory is based on the postulate of the inevitability of change and the need to use the opportunities that arise in their implementation, therefore, it is necessary to study the development of the theory of change management in more detail. Changes are objective circumstances and processes in the external and internal environment of the company that determine the direction of its further development for the implementation of the overall mission of the enterprise. To ensure the effective management of changes, the following characteristics should be taken into account: first, changes are the root cause and circumstances that trigger the development of the organization in all areas of its activities; and secondly, as any objective category of change can not be completely manageable under conditions of a dynamic external environment; thirdly, the management system should have a clear idea that changes are not always progressive, but may also have a regressive nature, due to their low management of their occurrence and the complexity of forecasting the effects of change; fourthly, without effective implementation of changes it is impossible to achieve the realization of the mission of the enterprise. The objectives of managing change in the existing systems of management of domestic enterprises should include: firstly, changes in the organizational structure and bringing it to the requirements of a dynamic external environment. Changes in the organizational structure will lead to a new stage in the development of strategic management and will entail changes in the organizational culture of the enterprise; and secondly, improving the effectiveness of managing change must necessarily have a positive impact on the results of enterprises, namely to overcome the tendency to fluctuate profitability and profitability
