Abstract
The article describes main patterns of Participle translation into Ukrainian, defines the difficulties of translation and their cause, analyses peculiarities of grammatical transformations usage in the process of translation. The author supplies the examples of different ways of Participle translation from the novel “Ivanhoe” by Walter Scott, and grammatical transformations applied while translating the text.
