Abstract

Objective. The objective of the article is to define the main problems of the process of Economics students’ rhetorical skills development by applying the research method. Methods. The main scientific results have been achieved with the help of applying the methods of examination of students’ rhetorical culture, generalization and systematization of the results received in the process of rhetoric-based subjects (Rhetoric, Art of Presentation) studying examination in higher educational institution. Results. While Economics students examining, during the approbation of rhetoricbased courses «Rhetoric» and ‘Art of Presentation’ the author revealed five interconnected urgent problems which are an obstacle to students’ rhetorical skills high level development. Among them are: psychological problems of students’ rhetorical culture elements, lack of culture of public speech, low level of development of skills of speech text formation and dialogue making skills, reproductive thinking development.
