Abstract

The article is devoted to the analysis of the operations in the FOREX currency market. It is outlined that the study of the main tendencies and the volumes of the transactions in the FOREX market is always the top-of the-agenda in the light of forecasting the exchange rate of any currency and the volume of profits as a result of the exchange rate differences under the conditions of free and constant exchange rate changes. The authors have analyzed and studied the average daily turnover of the global FOREX market as to the types of currencies, major counterparties and the geographical distribution. It was found that the most active market participants (main contractors) were in 2015.The financial clients (other financial institutions) were the main drivers of the growth of the global market turnover. During the period studied any significant changes occurred in the geographical distribution of the currency market didn’t occurred. The largest volumes of the average daily turnover have been demonstrated by the United Kingdom, the United States and Singapore. It is stated that the sphere of the work regulation of the outlined market must be further elaborated in Ukraine. The authors outlined the steps that must be taken to ensure the legal work and the transparency in the global FOREX market.
