Abstract
This article provides an assessment of the actions of the main determinants of oil market (demand, supply, prices). Conducted market segmentation for the largest oil producer with the division on the level of competitiveness of a country and the intensity of its changes. The basic characteristics of modern world market of oil products, which are objective and subjective. This forecast estimates the development of the world oil market. Characterized the state of the Ukrainian oil market, summarizes the key factors of its structure and their compliance with the factors in the development of the world oil market. Diagnosed the problems of the current phase of the oil products market in Ukraine and determined their origins. Provided proposals for the revival in Ukraine of petroleum industries and to assess its multiplier effect
