Abstract

The article describes the transprot infrastructure features of developed countries` different transport modes. Relevance of the study is in the fact that today, unfortunately, none of the transport networks are able to satisfy the growing need for transportation, both passengers and cargo; the determining the characteristics of the developed countries` transprot infrastructure will determine the main vectors of progressive transport networks` improvement in developing countries and countries with economies in transition. The objective of study is to analyze the development of transport infrastructure in developed countries, to identify common trends and features of operation for each type of transport. Particular attention is paid to the interconnection between investments and features of transprot infrastructure for each type of transportation. The general trends and features of developed counries` transprot infrastructure are defined.
