Abstract
The article reveals the modern trends in the development of the market of mergers and acquisitions in Ukraine. The main problems affecting the development of themarket are identified and analyzed: the geopolitical situation in the country, imperfect legislativebase (especially on the regulation of the acquisition), an insufficient number of openinformation, high levels of corruption, poor investment climate. The prospects of mergersand acquisitions in Ukraine are defined: gradual increase in the volume of M&A transactions;priority sectors in this market are financial services, informational and communicationaltechnologies, energetics; development of international economic relations
