Abstract
The article substantiates the necessity of studying the classification characteristics of production stocks. The differences in the classification of production stocks according to national normative documents and International Accounting Standards are generalized. The main principles of internal audit of operations with production stocks are determined and suggestions are made to increase the effectiveness of the audit.
