Abstract
The purpose of the study is to assess the competitiveness of educational institutions in the context of the general economic crisiss ituationin Ukraine and it suseinthe system of management of educationa linstitutions. Several general economic methods (generalization, grouping, analysis, synthesis, graphicmethod), and alsospecific methods forassessing competitiveness (competitive analysis, competitionmarch, competitive market map, and methodology forcalculating the Herfindahl-Hirschman index) were used to conductthe study. Ithasbeenprovedthattheuseofclassicaltoolsforassessingthecompetitivenessofbusinessentitiesbyeducationalinstitutionsisinformativeandshouldbeusefulindeterminingthestrategicguidelinesforthedevelopmentofhighereducationinstitutionsanddevelopingtheirgeneralstrategy, withoutwhichthesuccessfulexistenceofthesesocialinstitutionsisimpossibleunderconditionsnotonlyofeconomic , butal so the socio-ethical crisis in Ukraine.
