Abstract

The article deals with the issues concerning sustainable economic development entity and the proposed improvement of the methodical approaches to its assessment. Based on the analysis of theoretical approaches to definition of essence of concept of "sustainable development", established the presence of two conceptual paradigms: sustainable development and profit maximization. Installed semantic identity between the concepts "sustainable development" and "functional stability" reflecting the company's ability to operate in a changing and competitive external environment. The paper proposed four factor model of evaluation of economic growth that takes into consideration the profit margin, asset turnover ratio, financial lever, specific gravity of retained earnings. A model estimates the rate of economic growth that provides the opportunity to carry out factor analysis of economic growth, evaluate the financial and operating policy and to determine the direction of economic growth.
