Abstract

The purpose of the article is the study of innovation in the transport system of foreign countries, their advantages and prospects for implementation in Ukraine. The study used methods theoretical generalization and comparison of the analysis of international experience innovation in the transport system, as well as methods of grouping, analysis and synthesis in identifying the main advantages of their use.In the article set out the necessity of application of new technologies in the construction and reconstruction of roads, modernization of the road transport sector in general, the use of modern information and communication technologies and management methods, implementation of intelligent transport systems in Ukraine, because innovation in the transport sector contribute to maturity of economy and the development of the country. Studied the world experience of the transport sector innovation, such as the transition to clean technologies; intelligent road; toll roads; traffic information in real time; intelligent public transport; integrated port; air mail and so on. The basic advantages of implementation that may be relevant for the development of transport system of Ukraine.
