Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the problem of motivating students in the process of the foreign languages studying; to identify different views on the problem; to highlight the theory of studying motivation and consider the types of students motivation. The main research results are obtained applying the complex general sci¬entific and special methods of investigation: systematization and generalization, theoretical generalization, analysis and synthesis. The theoretical knowledge of the notion of «motivation» is generalized. The views of various scientists on the problem are considered. Specific factors of educational motivation are determined. The difference between the internal motivation and the external one is analyzed and the opinions of scientists on this issue are considered. Theories of motivation are defined and the tasks of the teacher on increasing the students’ motivation during a foreign language studying are outlined.
