Abstract

Goal. Study of the development of cultural and educational tourism in Ukraine in the conditions of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the influence of information technologies on the popularization of the work of museums. Methods. To achieve the goal, the following research methods were used: systematic and complex analysis, which made it possible to determine the trends in the development of regional markets of cultural and educational tourism in Ukraine; comparative and calculation-analytical methods made it possible to determine the level of introduction of information technologies in the work of museums of Ukraine and to analyze the dynamics of their use. The results. The article draws attention to the development of cultural and educational tourism in Ukraine in the context of the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The degree of introduction of information technologies as an effective form of work of museums in the conditions of lockdown is analyzed. A cluster analysis of the information activity of cultural and educational tourism objects was carried out and four centers were singled out: Central-Eastern; West; Southern; Northern. It was established that the dynamics of the spread of information technologies was more active in the Central-Eastern and Northern regions. The presence of a significant number of large museums made it easier to attract volunteers or investors to digitize exhibits or create virtual tours, unlike small regional ones, which are common in the Western regions of Ukraine. The seasonality of spikes in interest in information resources due to New Year's holidays or summer vacations has been revealed.
