Abstract

Any translation is a creative process that is complicated when dealing with poetry. The reason is that not perfectly know another language, the translator must be a poet himself. However, often translating a poetry becomes a free transfer. And even when the poet-translator means almost unable to pass a language content and form, some artistic features of original poetry, this does not mean that he was able to play all the visions that are encoded the author in the poem. Today, when actively studied interactive relationship of literature and other arts, including cinema, the translator should pay attention to cinematic techniques and means by which the author creates plastic images and visions, and try to pass it in translation. This article provides a comparative analysis of two poems by Heinrich Heine – «Florentine Nights» (translated by O. Yushchenko) and «Lorelyay» (translated by Leonid Pervomaisky). Analyzed translations are artistic, poetic. Translation not decode laid Heine vision, but while maintaining the sound and color of plastic parts are sometimes lost, mobility, and images become static.
