Abstract

The analysis of the key performance indicators of the collective accommodation facilities infrastructure (legal entities) of the Donetsk economic region (hotels and similar accommodation facilities) made it possible to identify key trends in their development, namely: 1) a constant reduction in the number of collective accommodation facilities of the Donetsk economic region; 2) a significant reduction in the number of hotels and similar accommodation facilities, which was accompanied by a decrease in the number of beds, except for the number of beds in the Donetsk region; 3) steady growth in the average capacity of hotels and similar accommodation facilities against the reduction in these entities of the tourism infrastructure, which indicates their consolidation; 4) a undulating change in the dynamics of the persons staying number of in hotels and similar accommodation facilities with different intensities and fluctuations by region, caused by the demand for accommodation services, and not by the rooms number availability in hotels and similar accommodation facilities or their workload; 5) a significant reduction in the number of overnight stays in hotels and similar accommodation facilities in the Luhansk region, which led to a decrease in overnight stays in the Donetsk economic region; 6) the low level of the hotels and similar accommodation facilities capacity use in the Donetsk economic region and the lack of the load stability of these tourist infrastructure enterprises.
