Abstract

In the article the researched and grouped the main characteristics of essence and specifics of enterprise management hotel and restaurant business. Presents the main approaches to the determination of hotel and restaurant business in the ratio to tourism industry and hospitality industry. Generalized definitions of the tourism industry, the hospitality industry. Given the author's interpretation of the following definitions: hotel and restaurant business and of management of the hotel and restaurant enterprises. Research objective is disclosure of the main characteristics of an essence and specifics of control of the enterprises of hotel and restaurant economy.
