Abstract
The article examines the essence of changes, examines the nature of their occurrence, updates the significance of changes for a modern enterprise, establishes their relationship with key aspects of activity: new condition, replacement, movement, restructuring, reorganization, reengineering, restructuring, rectification, reform, transition, transformation , innovations. It is determined that under the changes it is proposed to understand the continuous processes of management to achieve the goals that occur in the enterprise, are formed under the influence of the environment of activity (internal and external), and the result of which is the achievement of a qualitatively new state of the object of management. It is determined that under the changes it is proposed to understand the continuous processes of management to achieve the goals that occur in the enterprise, are formed under the influence of the environment of activity (internal and external), and the result of which is the achievement of a qualitatively new state of the object of management. It is proved that the managerial categories of “change” and “development” cannot be identified because changes do not always provide development, but, on the contrary, there are circumstances in which changes lead to processes that are the opposite of changes. It has been determined that in the strategic environment of activity, external and internal factors of change, affecting the enterprise as a platform for change, lead to one of two situations: activity stagnation or development. Suggested change management directions for both situations. If the change is due to development, the change management system at the enterprise is aimed at exploiting the forces and capabilities of development, achieving current and strategic goals, eliminating threats and weaknesses. If the result of the change is stagnation, the change management system at the enterprise aims at eliminating threats and imbalances (weaknesses) through the strengths of the company, implementing a strategy of stabilization and/or survival. Under conditions of efficient management of change, this situation should lead to stabilization of activities and, in the future, to development.
