Abstract
The article aims to identify cognitive-functional and pragmatic aspects of military metaphors in Ukrainian marketing terminology. Scientific approaches to the military metaphor studying in language in general and terminology in particular are generalized. Developing and mechanisms of creation of military metaphors as one of the active metaphorical models in marketing terminological system are clarified. Metaphor’s role in marketing scientific theory cognitive maps shaping is defined. Military metaphor pragmatic features in terminology are outlined.
