Abstract

In the article the need of the governments of developing countries to finance the priority areas of sustainable development, which include agriculture, water, sanitation and hygiene, social protection, healthcare, education and environmental protection has been discussed. The international and regional targets of national public funding of the priority areas of sustainable development have been determined. Performance of the indicators established by the governments of developing countries will promote agricultural development, eradication of poverty and hunger, ensuring food security, healthy way of life, education of high quality, availability and rational use of water resources and sanitation, improving the environment. Analysis of the performance of the established public spending targets of governments of developing countries will not only determine the status and trends of national funding priority areas, but also will help to assess the need for financial resources to develop strategic measures to strengthen the system of financing and achieving sustainable development goals.
