Abstract

According to the results of the study, it was established that Ukraine cooperates in the scientific and technical sphere with more than 25 countries, including The United Kingdom, Israel, China, the USA, Germany, concluded more than 40 agreements on scientific and technical cooperation; the main strategic partner of the country in the science, technology and innovation sphere are the EU countries; today institutional prerequisites have been created to ensure the development of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU in the scientific, technical and innovation sphere; one of the main tools for the development of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU in these areas are framework programs; the current level of cooperation between Ukraine and the EU in the innovation sphere remains rather low, which is mainly due to the low level оf organizational capacity of Ukraine to participate in the EU framework programs, the low level of competitiveness of Ukrainian project proposals, the lack of understanding of incentives for participation in European programs from Ukrainian scientists and institutions.
