Abstract

The study analyzed the status and dynamics of capital investment flows for 2010-2018, which revealed a positive trend in their involvement. An analysis of the structure of capital investments by type of assets showed an increase in the share of investments in intangible assets, which led to the conclusion that investors' attention in innovative development and intellectual property increased. The analysis of the sources of financing shows that the most active investors in the national economy are enterprises and organizations. At the same time, an increase in the share of investments from the local and state budgets was recorded, which indicates a barely noticeable but positive change in the modernization of the country's investment policy. The downward tendency in attracting capital investments at the expense of foreign investors has been identified and the main reasons causing such dynamics have been systematized (unfavorable investment climate, incomplete legislative base, inefficiency of investment projects and underdevelopment of the investment market and instruments for their regulation). The study of the structure of capital investment by type of economic activity provided suggestions for improving the effectiveness of the country's investment policy.
