Abstract

Based on the analysis of models and theories of consumer needs to identify a common approach to their understanding, identify current trends in the study of consumer behavior. Based on the analysis considered the model and the theory of consumer needs, which are used in the process of selling goods. Summarized and identified common features of the most common models and theories needs. The author 's definition of "consumer behavior". Classification values selection of goods on the theory of modern consumers Seth Newman-Gross supplemented by additional types: aesthetic, economic, environmental. Determining the needs of the consumers will understand the manufacturer, the mediator, the seller, how to operate in a challenging competitive environment.
