Abstract

Purpose. The purpose of this article is to study the mechanism of ensuring the economic security of the national economy in the public governance system taking account of regional component. Methods. Achievements of foreign and Ukrainian scientists form the theoretical foundation of the study. To achieve the above-mentioned goal, the following research methods have been used: systematic approach, structural and logical analysis, analysis and synthesis, techniques of logical generalization. With the help of the method of theoretical generalization in accordance with the existing achievements of foreign and Ukrainian scientists, the mechanism of ensuring the economic security of the national economy in respect of the regional aspect has been proposed. The systematic approach has made it possible to identify the links between the elements of the proposed mechanism. Results. As a result of the study on the mechanism of ensuring the economic security of the national economy in the public governance system, the feasibility and necessity of taking into account the regional component has been substantiated. The analysis of theoretical and regulatory sources has allowed to propose a mechanism of ensuring the economic security of the national economy and to include to its elements, in addition to methods (economic, administrative, organizational, socio-psychological, informational, regulatory) and tools (technologies, programs), the element of calculating the regional component predictive impact. The implementation of the mechanism into the process of regions economic development programs development and implementation provides a purposeful managerial influence of the authorities on socio-economic processes in order to enforce the strategic choice of ensuring the regions economic security and the national economy as a whole. It is recommended to detail the institutional support for the implementation of the proposed mechanism of ensuring the economic security of the national economy in the public governance system in further studies.
