Abstract

Objective. The objective of this study is modeling a system of economic security of the region. Methods. The model of economic security of the region as a subsystem of national economic security in terms of decentralization has been formed using the methods of theoretical generalization, based on the existing achievements of foreign and domestic scientists. The system approach allowed to determine the relationship between elements (input flow, output flow, internal and external threats, and control actions) and to construct formal semantic model of economic security regions using a modeling method. Results. The article is devoted to the theoretical research of the opportunities and necessity of applying a systematic approach to the concept «economic security of the region». The system of economic security of the region in the form of the so-called «black box» is depicted. The presented formal-content model of the regional economic security system is reduced to a description of the system’s boundaries, its inputs and outputs, as well as the environment. The main disadvantage of the presented model of economic security of the region is the possibility of unlimited number of inputs and outputs. The implementation of the proposed system will allow the regions to provide resistance to internal and external threats, relative economic self-sufficiency, the strength of links between the elements of the regional economy, competitiveness and using of competitive advantages, while maintaining the balance of interregional relations, the compliance of index components of economic security of the regions to the normative level. In order to study the content of the system of economic security of the region and the links between its elements in further research, it is appropriate to try to form a static model of regional economic security and to display it in a dynamic model.
