Abstract

The article deals with the essence and interconnection of such concepts as economics and ecology. The alternative positions of the economy in relation to ecology are determined. One of the main directions of modernization of the modern economy is the realization of its environmental norms. One of the most important tasks of the global community is the effective measures for environmental protection in the process of economic activity that are consistent with the concept of gradual economic growth. The state of the environment directly influences the efficiency of production of goods and services and the potential for reproduction of a social product in the long run. Therefore, in the paradigm of the reproductive theory, there is a need to study the interconnections of nature and society, which, however, is very controversial. The purpose of the study - on the basis of the theoretical analysis of the interaction of nature and society to identify economic contradictions and to justify the concepts and principles of the ecological economy. Recognizing the problems of ecology and economy, as well as the position of the economy in relation to ecology, it was concluded that at present, the development of the ecological economy is experiencing a significant shift towards practical developments that do not have a solid theoretical basis. In the course of the study four phases of the development of the ecological economy as a science were distinguished. An overview of different opinions regarding the concept of "ecological economy" and the definition of stages of its development as a science has allowed to provide an author's interpretation of this concept. Thus, in our opinion, the ecological economy is the formation of new directions of economic activity related to environmental protection, rational use of natural resources, energy resources, reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, implementation of environmental technologies, recycling and utilization of waste, production of environmentally friendly products, Entrepreneurship in the field of environmental protection, which creates conditions and prerequisites for new types of employment in the labor market and the creation of new jobs. Under ecological employment, we are called to understand activities that bring income and do not contradict legislation that reduces the negative impact on the environment.
