Abstract

The purpose of this research is to identify the effective management’s latent factors of regional economic security Methods. To achieve a defined purpose the methods of theoretical generalization, analysis and synthesis, logical generalization, analogies, comparison and method of taxonomic analysis have been used. The method of taxonomic analysis has allowed to make a general assessment of a complex object or process, namely, of the factor of regional economic security. Application of the principal component analysis has allowed to highlight the main factors (components) of the regional economic security and calculate their integral factor. Mean value analyses and a weighted average method have allowed to identify the factor of national economic security within the context of regions’ participation. The method of retrospective analysis has allowed to study the dynamics and determine the trends of changes of the integral factor of regional economic security and national economy. Results. As a result of the study of the effective management’s latent factors of regional economic security, factors of regional economic security have been identified. The main component is the integral factors of regional economic security. The disadvantage of the proposed mean value analyses is neglecting the participation of each region in ensuring national economic security, so to achieve this purpose a weighted average method have been used, the component of which is the importance of the each region weight. The each region weight has been determined by the proportion of the region in the total size of the population of the country. According to the results of calculations (using taxonomic index and weighted average method), the maximum value of the national economic security is observed in 2011 and stands for 0,38. After which the value decreases to the level of 0,31 in 2015. According to the results of calculations (using principal component analysis and weighted average method), the maximum value of the national economic security is observed in 2013 and stands for 3,42. After which the value decreases to the level of 3,19 in 2015. It is expedient to form economic security states and their characteristics from a regional perspective in further research.
