Abstract

The article discusses the idea of presenting educational material with the help of innovative technologies using smartphones, software and mobile applications. The relevance of the search for new teaching methods are connected with the modern requirements of the labor market. Nowadays, the employer is interested in working with a qualified, creative, communicative employee who is willing to constantly learn, can adapt to new conditions, is able to restructure and make decisions quickly. The formation of these criteria involves the use of various devices. The article provides examples of educational platforms, auxiliary mobile applications, visual boards, educational games. The ways of using smartphones in the classroom are developed. The features of using combined online textbooks, manuals and dictionaries were considered. The article highlights the advantages and disadvantages of online publications. The positive aspects include the fact that storing, moving and using such textbooks is much easier; students have access to information at anytime and anywhere in the world. A significant advantage is that the content of the online tutorial is updated quickly, so the information is always relevant. It has been substantiated that the teaching of specific topics in philology with the help of mobile applications can be quite productive. The following groups of programs are highlighted: collections, simulators, mobile dictionaries and translators, collections of the theory. Among educational technologies, thematic games are becoming more popular. The article describes the games for learning languages. Most of them are focused on increasing user’s vocabulary, word building, making whole sentences and phrases. The methods presented in the article can be used as an element of the traditional teaching system, or in the context of STEM technologies.
