The objective of the article is to study the influence of consumer sentiment on the further development and prospects of retail establishments. In order to achieve this goal, the following tasks need to be solved: to monitor the latest trends in consumer inquiries when purchasing and consuming products, as well as to identify the main trends that can be traced in the activities of retail establishments at present. This will determine the prospects for their successful operation in a changing business environment. The theoretical basis of the research is the achievements of overseas and domestic scientists, as well as data of analytical research organizations. In order to achieve this goal, general scientific and special research methods were used, namely: structural-logical analysis, method of analysis and synthesis, techniques of logical generalization. Prospects for further development of retail establishments the main directions of needs and preferences of modern consumers, which considerably influence the activity of retail enterprises in a changing market environment, have been analyzed in the research. The data of research company Nielsen, which allowed to determine consumer sentiment to date, is analyzed. Due to this, the main perspectives of the development of retail establishments for successful business activity in the competitive market are determined. Proposed tools for fulfilling the tasks. The expected results of proposed measures and used tools for prospects of further development of retail establishments are presented. The practical application of the proposed activities will provide retailers with improved economic efficiency of the trading process and additional competitive advantages.
