Abstract

It is considered the conditions of the museum sphere, the flaws in the organization work, legal support and financing are also identified. The main part of the finance from state budget spends on the function (salaries of staff, security, utilities) but not on the development of the museums. Insufficient funding determines the lack of staff, the deterioration of funds and expositions. As a result, the number of visitors is reduced. In view of this, author offers to modernize the methods of work and financing of the museums. Museums must be scientific and entertaining centers. Thanks to this the number of visitors and amount of revenue for tickets sold will be increased. Museums provide work places in related industries. For example, in 2015 museums in the USA transferred to the state budget more than 21 billions dollars and provided work places for the half of million people. Production related to the sphere of culture and art in the USA is 4.32% of the whole American economy and provides work places for 18 million people. Changing the working principles of the Ukrainian museums give opportunities to create open expositions, to make museums scientific and entertaining centers with developed infrastructure. The employment of the digital technologies with different attachments and platforms will help to achieve this. The renovation of the museum buildings and the creation of modern museum complexes is very actual problem. The Ministry of culture hasn’t enough money for this. Many hopes are placed on philanthropists. Special attention is attached to the connection of the social transformation and museum modernization all over the world.
