Abstract
In this work the content of gastronomic tourism in the system of tourist activity is analyzed, the optimal author's classification is proposed. The problems of gastronomic tourism in Ukraine were revealed and suggested ways of its development. The definition of "gastronomic tourism" is presented. The importance of the development of gastronomic tourism in Ukraine, which is revealed through a number of its socio-economic functions, humanitarian and cultural significance, is determined
