Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the history of legal regulation of women's labor. The history of world civilization shows that women have always suffered from discrimination in all spheres of social relations. But each stage of the development of civil society was accompanied by the gradual granting of women additional benefits and benefits, including in labor relations. It should be noted that the emergence of legal norms regulating the work of women was accompanied by the application at the legislative level of certain prohibitions for working women. Moreover, such prohibitions became the basis for the formation of modern labor law. Thus, one of the problems of labor law is the study of the historical aspects of legal regulation of women's labor as a prerequisite for the modern legal regulation of the work of these categories of workers The author provided suggestions on the improvement and prospects for the further development of legislation regulating the work of women
