Abstract
Objective. To examin and to identify the advantages and disadvantages of institutions creating experience that contributed to innovative development, at a time when Ukraine was the part of the USSR, as a command economy. Methods.: For analyzing production volumes, the number of organizations and companies in their range, complexes of various levels in the USSR was used the statistic research method. Defining innovation development institutes of command economy was used the synthesis method. To determine and to analyze the innovation development institutions advantages and disadvantages of command economy was used the comparative method and the method of deduction. Results. The industrial unifications and complexes of various levels as innovative institutions of a command economy was studied. It was revealed that the main forming innovative development institutes disadvantage of command economy is a significant economic activity control by the goverment. The scientific novelty and practical significance of the results of the investigation is the analysis of innovation command economic system activity in the light of the formation and functioning of specific business units
